Join Us

The Daughters of the American Revolution is one of the largest lineage organizations in the world and you can join!  Membership can sometimes be difficult as we trace our Patriot ancestors, but the Hunt’s Spring Chapter is here to help!
Basic Requirements
Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolutionary War is eligible for membership. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death, as well as the Revolutionary War service of her patriot ancestor.
The NSDAR website, located here, provides detailed information on how to join, including what constitutes a patriot of the American Revolutionary War and what documents you will need.
Steps to Join
  1. Contact Us: One of our members will meet with you and review the application process.
  2. Initial Document Review: We will review the documents you have on hand verifying your lineal connection to a patriot of the American Revolutionary War (i.e., your birth certificate).
  3. Document Collection: As a prospective member you are welcome at all our meetings and events. During this period, our members will work with you on researching and collecting all documents needed to complete your application.
  4. Application Submission: Once all the necessary documents are collected, we will help you compile and finalize your application. Then you send the application to National Daughters of the American Revolution for final approval. The final approval is dependent on the thoroughness of the submitted application.

We are with you every step of the way!
When you decide to join DAR, please contact us using the form below and we will help you through the application process. We have been very successful in obtaining proof of descent and helping our prospective members become a Daughter of the American Revolution member.

Our membership registrar will be happy to provide you with more information on various Hunt's Spring Chapter, NSDAR, activities, and can meet with you to guide you in the NSDAR
application process.
