Daughters in Action

The Hunt’s Spring Chapter, NSDAR, was founded to prompt the objects of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Earth Day
To celebrate Earth Day 2021, the Hunt’s Spring Chapter, NSDAR, participated in a clean-up day, tending to the Louise Wilson Jacobs Building Gardens at the Kate Duncan Smith DAR School in Grant, Alabama. The gardens were originally established by the chapter ten years ago at the bequest of member, Geraldine Hyatt. The gardens feature native plants, like the Alabama state flower, the Camellia, daises, and butterfly bushes. The chapter will be embarking on a project to add additional native plants to the area, effectively transitioning part of the courtyard into a Never Forget Garden.
